Introducing our Virtual Fit Service

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic struck, we were considering a Virtual Bike Fit option to expand our services beyond the Portland metro area. Today, about a month into the said pandemic, we’ve put our virtual fit abilities to use, although certainly not in the way that we had originally intended them.

But what IS a virtual fit? Understandably, customers may be wary. The benefits of an in-person, dynamic fit are difficult to replicate, but if you’ve ever wondered “How do I fit my bike myself?” then we may be able to help you out. You can learn more about how the program works and see a demonstration here, but the broad strokes are below.

  1. Purchase a bike fit, here, choosing from our “Basic” and “Advanced” services

  2. Fill out the required intake form when prompted

  3. Shoot a 10-15 second video of yourself riding the bike, similar to the photo above; you can easily do this with your phone, making sure the phone is about saddle height and level and set to “Landscape” mode

  4. We send you a position report within three days and a link to schedule a follow-up conversation where we can go through our recommendations and tell you how to execute them

As you can see, we roll through all different aspects of a cyclist’s position, and then give recommendations based on what we see. Can you guess our suggestions for the rider above? If you want to check your work, go and get all the details on our Virtual Fit Page.
